# VahanQR documentation

> VahanQR is a vehicle QR code sticker. Anyone who scans it can call or message the owner, with a privacy plan that hides the owner's number.

VahanQR is a vehicle QR code sticker from MJX Technologies. You stick it on your car or bike, and anyone who needs to reach you — about wrong parking, lights left on, or an accident — scans it and calls or messages you. On a privacy plan, they never see your real number.

VahanQR works in any web browser. There is no app to install, for you or for the person who scans.

## Who is VahanQR for?

| **Vehicle owner** | Registers, adds vehicles, prints the QR sticker, chooses a privacy plan, reads messages. |
| **Person scanning** | Anyone with a phone camera. Scans the sticker to call the owner, alert emergency contacts or send a message. No account needed. |
| **Housing society** | Registers once, gets its own numbered batch of QR stickers with the society name, and tracks them on a society dashboard. |
| **MJX staff (Admin, Super Admin, Sales)** | Activate pre-printed stickers and run the service. |

## How VahanQR works

### Register your vehicle
Sign up with your mobile number, add emergency contacts, pick a privacy plan and enter your number plate. It takes about two minutes.
### Get your QR sticker
Your QR code is made at once. It is emailed to you, and you can download a print-ready round sticker from your dashboard.
### Stick it on the vehicle
Print it at actual size at home or at any print shop, and stick it on the windscreen or another visible place.
### Get contacted
When someone scans it, they can call you (masked on a privacy plan), alert your emergency contacts, or send a message. You get an email alert, and a WhatsApp alert when it is switched on.

## Web or app?

VahanQR is a website. Owners sign in at [vahanqr.mjxtechnologies.com](~/login) on a phone or computer. People who scan a sticker open the scan page in their phone browser straight from the camera. There is no VahanQR app in the Play Store or App Store.

## Plans at a glance

## Questions people ask

### What is VahanQR?

VahanQR is a QR code sticker for cars, bikes and other vehicles in India. Anyone who scans it with a phone camera can call the owner, alert the owner's emergency contacts or send a message.

### Does the person scanning need an app?

No. The phone camera opens the VahanQR page in the browser. There is nothing to install.

### Can people see my phone number?

Only on Plan 1 (No Privacy). On **Light Privacy** calls are masked while you have call minutes. On **Strict Privacy** your number is never shown.

### Is VahanQR free?

Yes, to start. Registering a vehicle and getting its QR code is free on Plan 1. The privacy plans have a one-time fee, shown at sign-up.

### Is there a mobile app?

No. VahanQR works fully in the web browser on a phone or computer, for owners and for people who scan.
