Quick answers about VahanQR. Each links to a full guide.

#About VahanQR

#What is VahanQR?

A vehicle QR code sticker from MJX Technologies for cars, bikes and other vehicles in India. Anyone who scans it can call or message you about wrong parking, lights left on, towing or an accident.

#Who makes VahanQR?

MJX Technologies, based in Bengaluru and Bhopal.

#Is there an app?

No. Owners use the website on any phone or computer, and scanners use their phone browser. Nothing to install.

#Which vehicles can I register?

Car, bike, truck, bus, van, auto or other — for personal, commercial, rental or government use. Standard plates (MP09XY1234) and Bharat series plates (23BH5904J) both work.

#Cost and plans

#Is VahanQR free?

Yes, to start. Plan 1 — No Privacy is free forever. Plan 2 — Light Privacy and Plan 3 — Strict Privacy have a one-time fee. See Privacy plans.

#Is the fee monthly?

No. The privacy fee is one-time. Extra call minutes are bought only if you need them. See Call minutes.

#Can I change my plan later?

Yes, from the Privacy Mode card on your dashboard. Downgrading is free, and a plan you already paid for costs nothing to return to.

#Privacy and calls

#Will people see my phone number?

On Plan 1, yes. On Light Privacy, only after your call minutes run out. On Strict Privacy, never.

#Will people see my name?

On Plan 1 (No Privacy), the scan page shows the name on your account. On Light Privacy it shows only your first name, and on Strict Privacy no name at all. The vehicle type, use and model are shown on every plan, and the plate's last four characters are always hidden.

#How does a masked call work?

The caller types the last four characters of your plate and their number. VahanQR calls them and connects the call to you. See Call the owner.

#Who pays for masked calls?

The owner, from the account's call minutes. Free minutes come with the privacy plan every month.

#Are calls recorded?

No. VahanQR logs the time and length of calls, never what was said.

#Stickers

#How do I get my sticker?

It is emailed when you add a vehicle, and you can download it any time with Download Sticker. See Download and print.

#What size should I print it?

3.5 inches round, printed at actual size.

#Can I order a printed sticker from VahanQR?

There is no online sticker order for individual owners. You print your own. Societies get numbered batches, and MJX and its sales partners hand out pre-printed stickers that you activate.

#My sticker is damaged. Do I need a new QR?

No. Download and print it again — the QR code stays the same.

#How am I told when someone scans my sticker?

When they send a message, you get an email, and a WhatsApp alert when it is switched on. It is also saved in your Messages tab. See Messages and alerts.
