Call a vehicle owner from a VahanQR sticker — direct and masked calls
How to call a vehicle owner from the VahanQR scan page — a direct call, a masked call after a plate check, or a browser call.
On a VahanQR scan page, the Call Owner button works in one of three ways, chosen by the owner's privacy plan: a direct call that shows the owner's number, a masked call that hides both numbers, or no call at all if a Strict Privacy owner has run out of minutes.

#How to make a direct call
Press Call Owner. Your phone's dialler opens with the owner's number. Press call.
#How to make a masked call
- Press Call Owner (Masked · Verify plate).
- The window says "Please Verify the plate number of the vehicle." It shows the plate with the end hidden, like
MP09XY####. - Look at the real number plate and type its last 4 characters in Last 4 Digits.
- Type Your Phone — your 10-digit mobile number.
- Press Setup Masked Call.
#How to make a browser call
When MJX has switched it on, the masked-call window also shows Browser Call (marked as cheaper). It uses your browser's microphone and speaker instead of a phone line.
- Type the Last 4 Digits first, then press Browser Call.
- Enter your 10-digit mobile number and press Continue →. "Your number is only used for call tracking. It is never shown to the owner."
- Press Allow Mic & Start Call and allow the microphone when the browser asks.
- The screen shows Connecting…, then Ringing…, then Connected with a timer. Press the red button to hang up.
If the browser call fails, press Use Phone Call Instead to go back to a normal masked call.
#Calling emergency contacts
Below the call button you may see Emergency 1, Emergency 2 and Emergency 3. They work like Call Owner: direct on No Privacy (or Light with no minutes), masked with a plate check otherwise. When the call is masked, the contact's number never reaches your phone. See Emergency help.

Masked calls and browser calls use your call minutes, rounded up to the next whole minute. Direct calls use none.

Why do I have to enter the last 4 digits of the plate?
It proves you are near the vehicle. It stops people from calling owners from a photo of a sticker.
Will I be charged for the masked call?
The call uses the owner's call minutes. You receive a normal incoming call from VahanQR's number.
Which number will call me?
The success message names it — "You will receive a call shortly from …".
The button says "Call Unavailable". What can I do?
The owner is on Strict Privacy and has no call minutes left. Send a message instead — it reaches the owner by email.
